Terminally Normie / YouTube Addict / Didn't Rage At GenAI or AGI / Slightly Edgy
It's me, Norm, the aforementioned NORMIE to digital enthusiasm, retro computing and web design. This site is my digital journal where I document my adventures in the digital world.
Why I Decided to Make This?
Posted on: Sept 22 2025
I decided to document stuff and share to the known web about the things I discovered. My grammar isn't the best, I'm no writer, and most of the time I type before I think. But it's something that I usually do. Hey, at least it takes my mind off of using mainstream social media.
The webmaster's mascot
which might as well represent me, is not a bird. I have no idea what kind of creature this thing is, likely drawn in all in MS paint on a whim.

Webservices Worth Looking
Posted on: Sept 22 2025
With the web being more centralized, something something about dead internet theory make it hard to find more human users, or at least, not bots.
In my experience, as a normie divorcing from the mainstream media, any service that doesn't accept forwarding alias such as addy.io or Simple Login is not worth your time. Even as a normie, I advocate for stronger privacy policies.
Services that even rejected Proton mail, Tutanota or forced users to use Google service is a big no-no. Me? I signed up with Tutanota for Neocities and other website.
Here are some websites and webservices that I found interesting:
Spacehey - A MySpace revival project. One can do so much with their own profile customization.
Basement Community Forum - A small general forum as of writing this blog at 22nd of September. It has the bare minimum features with some missing, such as likes or dislike system.
straw.page , mmm.page - Very simple static website builder.
TheDev.Id , is-a.dev - Free Dev subdomains and homepages. Not that I use any of these, I'm a plebian in comparison.
Blogging services for indie-minded peeps:
BearBlog - very minimal with a very generous free tier, a discovery feed, and can be as simple or as complicated as you want.
Pika - is a simple, easy place to get your writing published. 50 posts for free tiers.
Mataroa - Bearblog alternative.
Ichi.City - a deader Neocities / Nekoweb.
I'll add more in the future. Thanks to this yay.boo page that inspired me to create this directory of awesome stuff I found.
